PGY5 Scholarship

The J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society (JRGOS) is a pluralist multicultural organization designed to meet the needs of minority orthopaedic surgeons, and to advance the ideals of excellent musculoskeletal care for all patients with particular attention to underserved groups. It provides comprehensive educational experiences designed to create awareness, sensitivity and knowledge of the unique needs of minority populations requiring musculoskeletal care.

Since its inception The J. Robert Gladden Society has a history of fostering academic pursuits and contributions to the science of orthopaedic surgery. In keeping with this tradition, the JRGOS is pleased to award ten scholarships to assist minority orthopaedic residents in preparation for their certifying examinations. The specific goal of the program is to better prepare residents for Part 1 of the ABOS examination by enrolling up to 10 residents in the AAOS Board Preparation and Review Course. Individual scholarships may only be applied to registration fees associated with the AAOS Board Preparation and Review Course.

The application deadline is January 15, 2018.
