Traveling Fellowships

The J. Robert Gladden Society is offering a Domestic Traveling Fellowship to any young Society member (2-3 years in practice) to increase their surgical skills, learn new techniques, or expand their practice interests. Travel is for 4 weeks or more to any institution or practice where a JRGOS member is involved. The award of up to $2,500 will cover reimbursement for travel expenses. Preference will be given to those candidates that elect to work with a Senior JRGOS member. The award winner will be expected to give a report at our annual luncheon which is held in conjunction with the AAOS annual meeting.

An International Traveling Fellowship is being offered to any JRGOS member who desires to visit and work in a 3rd world country or any area with a real need for orthopaedic care. It is our hope that an ongoing relationship can be established. All travel arrangements and plans must be coordinated through an existing organization (Orthopaedics Overseas). The award of up to $2,500 will cover reimbursement for travel expenses. A report of the activities will be given at the annual luncheon.
