2025 JRGOS Foundations in Orthopaedic Surgery (JFOS) backup

The 2025 JRGOS Foundations of Orthopaedic Surgery Symposium (JFOS) is designed to equip Newly Matched Medical Students (2025/2026 PGY1) with the fundamental clinical and professional skills essential for a successful transition into orthopaedic surgical training. Gladden Members serve as faculty and mentors as well as last year’s returning interns in a “near peer” mentorship model.

In addition, JFOS offers advanced clinical and professional training for Residents PGY1-5 and Fellows. This training is distinct from the newly matched medical student program, focusing on higher-level clinical and professional competency and development. Gladden Members serve as faculty and mentors throughout the program and Newly Matched Medical Students, Residents, Fellows, and Faculty have joint mentorship programing as well.

JFOS reflects the JRGOS commitment to excellence in musculoskeletal care for all, with a strong emphasis on promoting inclusion of African American, Black, Hispanic, and women who are underrepresented minorities in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
