Charles Nelson, MD, Elected President of the ABOS

Charles Nelson, MD, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and Chief of Joint Replacement at Penn Medicine, has been elected President of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). Dr. Nelson is a Gladden Society Past President.

Dr. Nelson previously served as a member of the ABOS Board of Directors and has held multiple leadership positions within the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and The Hip Society. His clinical focus includes hip and knee reconstruction and revision arthroplasty, with ongoing research in outcomes of total joint replacement and infection prevention.

The Gladden Society extends recognition to Dr. Nelson for his leadership.
