“The Value for Whom? Exploring Our Responsibility to Community Musculoskeletal Health Symposium will address the intersection of value-based care (VBC) and health equity in orthopaedic surgery. This symposium addresses an increasingly urgent issue as health systems seek to improve outcomes and reduce costs while ensuring care delivery remains inclusive and fair. While orthopaedic surgery has seen widespread adoption of VBC models such as bundled payments, ACOs, and pay-for-performance initiatives, mounting evidence suggests these models may not equally benefit all patient populations, particularly racial minorities and low-income groups who already face barriers in access, outcomes, and long-term recovery.” AAOS website

The Value for Whom? Exploring Our Responsibility to Community Musculoskeletal Health Symposium will feature Gladden Board members, Eric Carson, MD, Christian Pean, MD, MS and Shaina Lipa, MD, MPH, whose expertise reflect the Gladden Society’s commitment to excellence, leadership, and inclusion in orthopaedic surgery.
