20th Annual Academic Surgical Congress Medical Student Scholarships
The J. Robert Gladden Society apologizes for the late notice as we have just received notice of two scholarships for our medical students to attend the 20th Annual Academic Surgical Congress. The Academic Surgical Congress (ASC) will be hosting their 20th Annual Academic Surgical Congress on February 11-13, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ASC is a joint meeting of the two leading associations for academic surgery – The Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) and The Society of University Surgeons (SUS).
The two scholarship opportunities for medical students to attend this prestigious conference are as follows:
These six (6) awards recognize outstanding research efforts by medical students and to encourage student interest in pursuing careers in academic surgery. The candidate must be a graduating senior medical student, receiving their medical degree between January and July 2025 and should be considering a career in academic surgery. The Award is complimentary registration plus a $500 travel stipend for the 2025 Academic Surgical Congress.
These three (3) awards are presented to female or underrepresented minority medical students. Department chairs and clerkship directors should encourage eligible medical students to apply for this unique opportunity to attend the premier meeting in academic surgery. The Award is complimentary registration, 3-nights hotel accommodations and a $500 travel stipend for the 2025 Academic Surgical Congress.
