As orthopaedic education and training continue to advance, JFOS: the JRGOS Foundations in Orthopedic Surgery Educational Symposium has become a premier gathering for African American, Black, Hispanic, and women in orthopaedic surgery. This symposium welcomes newly matched medical students in orthopaedic surgery, as well as residents, fellows, faculty, and national leaders in the field.
Designed to support newly matched medical students in learning from experienced faculty, as well as, providing continued education for PGY1–5 residents and fellows—this two-day symposium offers an unparalleled opportunity to enhance clinical acumen, refine surgical skills, and foster professional development for all attendees.
JFOS focuses on essential aspects of orthopedic surgery, combining hands-on operating room skills training, strategies for managing on-call responsibilities, and dynamic case presentations. Participants will gain unique insights into current best practices, innovative techniques, and the future of orthopedic surgery education.
With contributions from an esteemed national faculty and sponsors, this symposium creates an engaging environment for fostering growth, collaboration, community, and leadership in the field.
Join us in Kansas City, MO, on May 2 – May 3, 2025, to connect with peers, mentors, and trailblazers dedicated to advancing excellence in orthopaedic surgery.
