Addisu Mesfin, MD is receiving the prestigious 2024 Henry Farfan Award at the North American Spine Society (NASS) 2024 Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois on September 26, 2024. Dr. Mesfin is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at MedStar Orthopaedic Institute, Georgetown University School of Medicine, and the Vice Chair of Research, MedStar Orthopaedic Institute Washington DC region. Dr. Mesfin is the Chair of the JRGOS Scientific Committee.

The Henry Farfan Award recognizes an individual who has had outstanding contributions in spine related basic science research. Dr. Mesfin was nominated by the NASS Governance Committee for his work on Spine Oncology and has served as a member of the NASS Section on Spine Oncology, received two best paper nominations, and serves as an abstract reviewer for the NASS Annual Meeting.
