Lattisha Bilbrew, MD, JRGOS Treasurer and member of the Executive Board of Directors of JRGOS, is the first Black woman Orthopaedic Surgeon to become partner at Resurgens Orthopaedics in Atlanta, GA. and served as faculty at the Clinical Orthopaedic Society 112th Annual Meeting. The theme of the 112th Annual Clinical Orthopaedic Society was “Vision 20/24: Orthopaedic Horizons” in which the perspective of new and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons was integrated to advance changes in the field.

Dr. Bilbrew served as a faculty for the panel on “Advancements and Controversies in the Treatment of Hand and Wrist Disorders.” She also presented a poster (link below) outlining the history of the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Bilbrew reflected that “the COS panel reaffirmed my belief in the importance of fostering academic discourse in orthopaedics. These conversations don’t just benefit us as individual surgeons; they strengthen the entire community and, ultimately, the patients we serve.”
