The Howard University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery celebrated the graduation of its Chief Residents on June 5, 2024. They matched at the following Fellowship Programs:

Andrew Boone, MD – Columbia University Hand Fellowship

Dammy Kolade, MD – Stanford University Sports Fellowship

Ayah Muhamed, MD – University of Virginia Hand Fellowship

Gerard Williams, MD – Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Pediatric Fellowship

The graduation celebration was combined with a retirement celebration for Dr. Terry Thompson, former Chair of Orthopaedics at Howard University Department of Orthopaedics. Dr. Thompson, a member of the Board of Directors of the J. Robert Gladden Society, and has had an illustrious career serving as the Vice President of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Vice Chair of the Residency Review Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and Orthopaedic Section Chair for the National Medical Association.
